Huntsville School District Superintendent Jonathan Warren announced his resignation effective June 30 in an email to staff early Wednesday morning.

The St. Paul Saints competed in the 1A -1W Jr. High Conference Meet on April 19 in Lincoln.

On Thursday, April 18, the Huntsville Varsity Boys Soccer team won their home conference game against Prairie Grove High School by a score of 2-0.

It came down to the wire on Monday, as the Huntsville Lady Eagles grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-0, over the Berryville Bobcats. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the seventh when Macie Ramsey singled, scoring two runs.

Huntsville defeated the Gentry Pioneers 13-3 on Monday thanks in part to 10 runs in the sixth inning. Kaden Evans was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Paxton Harriman doubled, scoring two runs. Jaxon Ferguson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Ben Bertrand was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Kase Evans singled, scoring one run. Logan Ward singled, scoring two runs, and Sawyer Owens tripled, scoring two runs.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team honored its graduating seniors on Friday, April 19, prior to the game against Van Buren, with a special Senior Night ceremony.

Madison County Third Judicial District Court is already poised to collect as much or more this year in fines over 2023, Huntsville Mayor Travis Dotson told the city council at its April meeting, noting the role the efficiency of the court plays in collections. Judge Dale Ramsey, who also presides over district courts in Berryville, Eureka Springs and Green Forest, said the court strives to help people as well as collect what is owed.

The City of Huntsville looks forward to completing a large project at the newly-christened College Street Park, where a splash pad and restrooms will be installed later this year thanks in part to a grant from the State of Arkansas.
