Jason Barrett, special prosecuting attorney for the State of Arkansas, declined to file criminal charges in a case involving the father of Capt. Michael Sloan of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. The City of Huntsville issued 19 building permits totaling $3.3 million in value, January 24 through June 18. 

A recently completed countywide reappraisal project will result in higher property taxes for many Madison County residents.
