Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism is awarding $4.34 million in Outdoor Recreation Grants to projects within 29 counties across the state. The grants fall into two categories: Facilities for Underdeveloped Neighborhoods (FUN) Park grants and matching grants.

The St. Paul Town Council approved Mayor Ron Springston moving forward with getting a contractor to make repairs to the handicap parking areas at Town Hall and the St. Paul Community Center.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa confirmed an EF1 tornado struck Clifty at 2:15 a.m. on May 26, causing significant damage to homes and other structures in the area. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday announced that President Joe Biden has approved the state’s Major Disaster Declaration request, which “will allow us to have a significant increase in resources to communities impacted by the storms.”
