Da’Shawn Chairs of Elkins captured first place Saturday in the 60-meter dash at the Class 3A Arkansas Indoor Track Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles will open the 2023 softball season on Feb. 28 at Rogers Heritage, with many starters back from a year ago.

The Lady Eagles traveled to Pea Ridge for a 4A-1 conference game, leaving the Blackhawks a 54-49 gift.
