The Elkins Elks continued their postseason winning streak Friday night, defeating the Monticello Billies 56-6 in a playoff game.
All four teams played Ozark Mountain School District at Western Grove on Nov. 14. The junior girls kicked the night off with the final score Kingston 24, OMSD 33.

Kingston High School senior Lila Hartness plays basketball with devotion, love and respect for the game. Playing point guard and post for the Kingston Yellowjackets Girls Basketball team, she dribbles and passes like no other on the court. To help gain more skills for her main sport, you can find her running for cross-country and track. She also excels in competitive dance and pageantry, the latter being used as a springboard to advocate for the American Heart Association. In school, you can find her on the student council.
Thursday, both of the St. Paul senior high teams played Westside. Final score for the girls was Saints 38 to Westside’s 54.
The junior and senior boys played Ozark Catholic Academy on Friday. The final score of the junior boys game was Kingston 29, OCA 47.
A need for speed has St. Paul High School Senior Jacob Ogden racing in more sports than one. On the court, he keeps his pace as wing for the St. Paul Saints basketball team. On the ground, you can find him chasing his last best score in cross-country.

The Elkins Elks improved their already-perfect regular season record to 10-0 with a 54-0 victory over the Lincoln Wolves Friday night in Lincoln. The Elks also boosted their 4A-1 conference record to an unblemished 7-0. The Elks rank first in the conference and are the No. 1 playoff seed. Elkins has home field advantage on Nov. 11 when it plays the Clinton Yellowjackets at 7 p.m. Clinton is 8-3 overall and 5-3 in 4A Region 4 and beat Dover Friday night, 45-12.
