The Huntsville 5th Grade “B” Lady Eagles finished their season with a 6-1 regular season record and went 3-0 in their tournament to bring home the NWA County Youth 5th Grade B Championship.

With an important seed on the line in the 4A-1 District Tournament, Huntsville rode into Pea Ridge and earned an important 63-60 conference victory and a number 2 seed in this week’s conference tournament.

Huntsville’s 6th-grade B team travel team were champions this year, under coach Brandt Grigg.

Huntsville visited Farmington for a 4A-1 conference match on Saturday and learned painfully why the Lady Cardinals are undefeated in conference play and 25-1 overall, falling 68-17.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles on Saturday hosted the Tigers from Prairie Grove, losing 57-43 in 4A-1 Conference play. The game was postponed from earlier in the week due to inclement weather.

On Jan. 17 Kingston hosted Deer. The final score of the Jr. Boys game was Kingston 52, Deer 30.

Huntsville hosted the 4A-1 leading Farmington Cardinals on Jan. 17, losing a lopsided game 67 to 25.

The Farmington Cardinals came to Huntsville and took a hard-fought 61-51 victory back with them to Washington County. The two teams entered the game 6-0 in the 4A-1 Conference.

The St. Paul Saints and Lady Saints traveled to Miami, Okla., to play in the 76th Annual NEO High School Basketball Tournament January 19-21 at the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.

Huntsville Junior Eagles and Junior Lady Eagles both finished second in last week’s Charles H. Berry and Jim Stafford Invitational Junior High Basketball Tournament.
