Gill Bryant and Aubry Sikes won the June 1 Booger County Bass Club tournament  on Bull Shoals Lake

Dylan Hurt, the new head baseball coach and assistant football coach for the Huntsville Eagles, said he will do anything he can to help his players become successful on the field and off.

Retiring head Eagles baseball coach Greg Harris has been selected as an assistant coach in the Arkansas Activities Association All-Star baseball game, which will be held June 20-21 in Conway.

The Huntsville Eagles football team is getting a May workout this week as part of spring training, which will likely wrap up on Friday, head coach Eric Henderson said.

Kolton Reynolds, a 2022 graduate of Huntsville High School and an outfielder for the Crowder  (Mo.) College Roughrider, has been named Region 16 Player of the Year.

Jake Roddy of Huntsville will be riding bulls during Saturday’s Spurrin’ Sky High rodeo event, which is presented by his brother Logan’s 3 Ring Rodeo Company. It will be Jake’s second time riding in Logan’s Spurs and Cleats Tour, following his participation in the April 6 show in Bentonville. Jake said that show was packed with fans, and he hopes and expects Huntsville fans to turn out Saturday at Sky High Arena.

Professional bull riding will be on display Saturday at Sky High Arena when 3 Ring Rodeo Company presents Spurrin’ Sky High beginning at 7 p.m.

It’s that time of year again, with the Huntsville School District’s athletic programs offering a variety of spring pee wee camps.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles had trouble keeping up with Farmington in a 16-1 loss on Monday, April 22.

The Huntsville Eagles could not keep up with the Farmington Cardinals in the District Tournament game on Wednesday, April 24, losing 4-0.

The Huntsville Eagles track team competed in the 4A-1 Junior High District Meet on Tuesdsay, April 16, in Gravette.

On Thursday, April 18, the Huntsville Varsity Boys Soccer team won their home conference game against Prairie Grove High School by a score of 2-0.

It came down to the wire on Monday, as the Huntsville Lady Eagles grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-0, over the Berryville Bobcats. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the seventh when Macie Ramsey singled, scoring two runs.

Huntsville defeated the Gentry Pioneers 13-3 on Monday thanks in part to 10 runs in the sixth inning. Kaden Evans was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Paxton Harriman doubled, scoring two runs. Jaxon Ferguson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Ben Bertrand was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Kase Evans singled, scoring one run. Logan Ward singled, scoring two runs, and Sawyer Owens tripled, scoring two runs.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team honored its graduating seniors on Friday, April 19, prior to the game against Van Buren, with a special Senior Night ceremony.

Huntsville High School participated in the Junior Lion Invitational on Tuesdsay, April 9, in Gravette.

Huntsville High School senior Koral Garrison is zestful. Bubbling over with energy, she plays left, center and right field for the Eagles softball team. Outside of school, she works part time at Pizza Hut. 

Booger County Bass Club results, Bull Shoals, April 13, 2024:

Kennedy Smith drove in four runs on two hits to lead Huntsville’s Lady Eagles softball team past Elkins 9-3 on Tuesday, April 9. Smith hit a home run to center field in the fifth scoring three, walked in the third scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one.
