The Huntsville Eagles on Nov. 15 hosted the Ozark Hillbillies in the first games at the new AT & Georgia Mae Smith Activity Center last week, earning a 65 to 43 victory.

The Class 4A Huntsville Eagles basketball team ventured into an ambush of Tigers in 3A Valley Springs last Thursday, winning a hard-fought battle in overtime 76-74.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles traveled to Springdale last Thursday night to take on the Lady Bulldogs in a non-conference match. Springdale pulled out a 46-59 victory over Huntsville.

Members of the Madison County Mountain Bike team participated in their final race of the year on Nov. 6 at Centennial Park in Fayetteville.

The Kingston girls placed six runners in the top eight last Thursday to easily repeat as Class 1A state cross country champions.

Ozark used its powerful running game to overwhelm Huntsville last Thursday 52-21 in the regular-season finale for both football teams at Eagle Stadium.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles return one of their top playmakers from a year ago and will be helped out this basketball season by a talented group of sophomores, according to head coach Greg McCone.
