The Huntsville Eagles will play the host team at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the 4A North Region Baseball Tournament in Morrilton. The winner will advance to the 4A State Tournament next week in Nashville.

Elkins won the boys’ 3A Region 1 Senior Conference Track Meet on Monday in Lincoln with 186 points.

The Elkins boys finished fifth and Huntsville 11th last Thursday at the Gravette Lion Invitational track meet.

Huntsville finished fourth last Wednesday at the Senior Anstaff Relays in Green Forest.

The Kingston girls finished fifth and the boys finished seventh last Thursday at the Berryville Bobcats Invitational.

De’Shawn Chairs of Elkins won the 100-meter dash (11.41 seconds) and teammate Elijah Graham won the shot put (38’-1”) last Thursday at the Elkins Elks Senior Relays.

The Elkins Elks downed the Cedarville Pirates 46-41 on Monday to win the Class 3A Region 1 Basketball Tournament in Booneville.

Stuttgart’s ground game proved to be too much Friday as the Ricebirds ran past Elkins 63-34 in the second round of the Class 4A state football playoffs.

Kingston and Elkins cross-country teams participated in the Springdale Schools’ Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Har-Ber High School.
