NWS finds EF1 tornado struck Madison County

Garrett says storm damage will likely ‘be a FEMA event’

The National Weather Service in Tulsa confirmed an EF1 tornado struck Clifty at 2:15 a.m. on May 26, causing significant damage to homes and other structures in the area. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday announced that President Joe Biden has approved the state’s Major Disaster Declaration request, which “will allow us to have a significant increase in resources to communities impacted by the storms.”
