Quorum court hires juvenile probation officer, evidence technician for sheriff’s office

After a lengthy discussion, the Madison County Quorum Court voted Monday night to hire a new juvenile probation officer requested by Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Stacy Zimmerman and, separately, added evidence technician to the duties of an administrative assistant at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office as requested by Sheriff Ronnie Boyd. The court discussed a number of ways of fitting – and justifying – the proposed salaries of each position into the 2023 budget, which closes next month.
