Officials learned during a May 13 inspection of the new Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center that the roof needs a new overlay after sustaining hail damage. Madison County Judge Larry Garrett said a claim would be forwarded to the county’s insurance to expedite the repair of the roof.
