Activities to celebrate Independence Day are scheduled throughout the area this weekend, including First Friday on Polk Square to the annual fireworks display at Mitchusson Park in Huntsville on Monday. Fireworks are planned in Kingston, St. Paul and Elkins, as well. The community of Wesley will celebrate with its annual horseshoe pitching tournament.
