Juvenile judge Dawn Christine Egan has officially announced her candidacy for Circuit Judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit, serving Madison and Washington counties, seeking to continue her service as juvenile judge.

The Madison County Planning Board approved a set of “proposed zoning boundaries” for a draft zoning map and draft rules for regulating wind and solar developments and forwarded those to be considered at a public hearing at its regular meeting on Aug. 6.

Elkins Police obtained an arrest warrant on Friday for a suspect in a Dec. 3 slaying with a $1 million cash bond set. The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Cade Malvern Becton.

During its ad hoc meeting on July 23, the City Planning Commission sorted out several addresses submitted with building permit applications to determine the physical locations, and once those were confirmed, approved several applications.
