Kingston athletics would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and thank you for your support. 

The junior girls and both senior high teams played at Greenland on Dec. 2. The junior girls started the night off with a win.

The Kingston senior boys played Cotter in the Arvest Tournament at Flippin on Nov. 19. The final score was Cotter 62, Kingston 32. Congratulations to Blane Villines for receiving the Arvest Hustle award. He led the team with 10 points, followed by Caleb Edgmon with 8, Tag Villines 6, Levi Barnett 4, and Matthew Huber 4. 

Both junior high teams played in the Lead Hill Junior High Tournament on Nov. 10.

The Kingston  junior girls played against Valley Springs in the Jasper Junior High Tournament on Nov. 3 with the final score was Valley Springs 42, Kingston 25. Keirra Williams led the team with 15 points, followed by Maycee Gates, 4; Ellie Villines, 4; and Jaylee Moppin, 2.

With a revamped lineup, Kingston placed three girls in the top 10 and five in the top 15 to win its fifth consecutive Class 1A State cross country championship.

The Kingston  junior girls played against Valley Springs in the Jasper Junior High Tournament on Monday with the final score Valley Springs 42, Kingston 25. Keirra Williams led the team with 15 points, followed by Maycee Gates, 4; Ellie Villines, 4; and Jaylee Moppin, 2. 

Kingston senior high teams hosted Norfork on Oct. 16 for a benefit basketball game. The senior girls started the night off with the final score Norfork 50, Kingston 44.

Senior Emma Kivell outran the competition, blazing a trail to a school record and the fastest time in Class 1A girls this season with a  21.17.79 finish at Clarksville.

Senior Emma Kivell excelled Oct. 13 at the Clarksville Invitational leading the pack and Kingston to second place in a field that included first place Springdale with 26 points.

The Kingston boys golf team placed seventh at the Class 1A State golf meet on Oct. 7 at the Thunder Bayou Golf Links in Blytheville.

The Kingston girls came out on top of the pack with a score of 42 on Sept. 30 at the Huntsville Invitational Cross Country meet.

The Kingston girl’s’ golf team claimed the Class 1A State Runner-up trophy at the state meet hosted by Shirley High School and held at the Mountain Ranch Golf Course in Fairfield Bay on Tuesday.

Siloam Springs won the Berryville Bobcat Back 40 boy’s team title with a score of 23, followed by second place Gravette with a score of 33, third place Haas Hall of Bentonville with a score of 90, and fourth place Prairie Grove scoring 105.

The Kingston boys (110) finished second to Huntsville (93) and Class 6A Rogers Heritage Junior Varsity (JV) was third at 123. at The Links in Bentonville on Sept. 3.

Kingston placed four runners in the varsity girls top 10 but was edged out by two points by Gravette, who won the 1A-4A girls team title while the Huntsville boys placed fifth at the Shiloh Christian Invitational Cross Country meet on Saturday.

The Kingston girls golf team won two straight meets coming into this week and the boys have consistently contended.

The Kingston golf team competed at Holiday Island on Aug. 14. Team standings were not available, but several Yellowjackets shot well during the meet.

Kingston’s golf teams competed at Siloam Springs on Aug. 6 with the boys finishing with a 208 score.

Second year coach Patrick Drennan wears a lot of hats at Kingston. He coaches three sports, cross country, girls basketball and track and field, something that’s not uncommon at a small school.
