Kristyn Shinn Clark looks at the Huntsville Eagle Soccer Academy as a means of spreading awareness about the Huntsville High School program and reaching as many potential players — and their parents — as possible.

Under the watchful eye of head football coach Eric Henderson, the Huntsville Eagles varsity football team worked out in the weightroom of the Charles H. Berry Gymnasium Tuesday morning.

Derek Bodenhamer, the new head coach of the Huntsville Eagles soccer team, said he looks forward to implementing some changes to the program and winning more games next season.

Dylan Hurt, the new head baseball coach and assistant football coach for the Huntsville Eagles, said he will do anything he can to help his players become successful on the field and off.

Kolton Reynolds, a 2022 graduate of Huntsville High School and an outfielder for the Crowder  (Mo.) College Roughrider, has been named Region 16 Player of the Year.

Jake Roddy of Huntsville will be riding bulls during Saturday’s Spurrin’ Sky High rodeo event, which is presented by his brother Logan’s 3 Ring Rodeo Company. It will be Jake’s second time riding in Logan’s Spurs and Cleats Tour, following his participation in the April 6 show in Bentonville. Jake said that show was packed with fans, and he hopes and expects Huntsville fans to turn out Saturday at Sky High Arena.

Professional bull riding will be on display Saturday at Sky High Arena when 3 Ring Rodeo Company presents Spurrin’ Sky High beginning at 7 p.m.

It’s that time of year again, with the Huntsville School District’s athletic programs offering a variety of spring pee wee camps.

On Friday, April 5, Huntsville baseball hosted a Strike Out Cancer event with all of the money raised donated to fight juvenile cancer.

Paxton Harriman drove in four runs on four hits to lead the Huntsville Eagles past the Pea Ridge Blackhawks 11-3 on Tuesday, April 2.

Huntsville Eagles softball pitcher Kennedy Smith pitched her 200th strikeout on March 26 against the Gravette Lions, an achievement Smith said is the highlight of her season thus far — until she throws her 300th strikeout, which she is on her way toward doing.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team saluted teachers during Teacher Appreciation Day on Friday, March 29 in a special ceremony prior to the Berryville game.

The Huntsville Eagles Junior High track team participated in the Siloam Springs Panther Relays on March 26.

Huntsville High School senior Katlyn Turner loves being on the softball field. As co-captain of the Eagles Softball team she is dedicated to the game, in which she plays first and second base, as well as the outfield. When not on the field, she works full time at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab as a CNA. 

Huntsville’s Lady Eagles softball team was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday, April 5 as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Gentry Pioneers. The result was a  reminder to Huntsville of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair’s previous head-to-head back in April of 2023.
