Theodore Houston Williams, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his residence.

He was born Friday, Oct.   26, 1956, in Wharton, Texas, to Willoughby Columbus Williams and Emily Kay Knudson Williams Matocha.

Ted was employed by Allen Canning and had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He was a loving, dedicated son, brother and uncle who cherished his family.

In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time on his boat. A deep admirer of classic rock music, Ted listened to it until the end of his life. Although Ted suffered from mental illness, he maintained a loving, giving heart despite the difficulties he faced. Throughout his life, he touched many lives, some he knew, and many he didn’t. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Family and friends will miss him greatly. He has now found peace and will be remembered with fond memories.

Ted was preceded in death by his father, Willoughby Williams; and his mother and stepfather, Emily and Roosevelt Matocha.

He is survived by his three brothers and one sister-in-law, Will and Robin Williams of Hockley, Texas, Bill Williams, of Victoria, Texas, and Bobby Williams, of Victoria, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Janet and Fred Siegel of Victoria, Texas. Barbara and Gary Scott of Bartlesville, Okla., and Dorothy Pettey of Wesley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
