Ruby Ann Seat, 72, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville.
She was born Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1951, in Fairland, Okla., to Kermit Lee and Goldie Lillian Snowden Blalack.
Ruby married Orval Eugene Seat on Thursday, Oct. 10, 1968, in Miami, Okla., and together they were parents to two children. She was employed by Ducommun and a member of Crossroads Apostolic Church. Ruby enjoyed crafting, and had a giving heart, often going without in order to ensure others could have. The special fondness she had for her dog, “Todd”, as well as a love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in her life.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Seat; her parents, Kermit Blalack and Goldie Blalack McGonigle; one sister; and 10 brothers.
She is survived by her son, Johnnie Seat of Fayetteville; daughter, Nancy Conklin of Huntsville; five grandchildren, James Conklin, Tasha Tilton, Christopher Conklin, Ashley Seat and Dalton Seat; and 11 great-grandchildren. Ruby is also survived by one sister, Belva Sue Rupert of Commerce, Okla.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory. Dwight Gonzalez officiated.
Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
