It’s that time of year again, with the Huntsville School District’s athletic programs offering a variety of spring pee wee camps.

The Huntsville Lady Eagles had trouble keeping up with Farmington in a 16-1 loss on Monday, April 22.

The Huntsville Eagles could not keep up with the Farmington Cardinals in the District Tournament game on Wednesday, April 24, losing 4-0.

Greg Harris has spent the last eight years teaching young men not only baseball but the game of life.

The Huntsville Eagles track team competed in the 4A-1 Junior High District Meet on Tuesdsay, April 16, in Gravette.

On Thursday, April 18, the Huntsville Varsity Boys Soccer team won their home conference game against Prairie Grove High School by a score of 2-0.

It came down to the wire on Monday, as the Huntsville Lady Eagles grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-0, over the Berryville Bobcats. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the seventh when Macie Ramsey singled, scoring two runs.

Huntsville defeated the Gentry Pioneers 13-3 on Monday thanks in part to 10 runs in the sixth inning. Kaden Evans was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Paxton Harriman doubled, scoring two runs. Jaxon Ferguson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Ben Bertrand was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Kase Evans singled, scoring one run. Logan Ward singled, scoring two runs, and Sawyer Owens tripled, scoring two runs.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team honored its graduating seniors on Friday, April 19, prior to the game against Van Buren, with a special Senior Night ceremony.

Huntsville High School participated in the Junior Lion Invitational on Tuesdsay, April 9, in Gravette.

Huntsville High School senior Koral Garrison is zestful. Bubbling over with energy, she plays left, center and right field for the Eagles softball team. Outside of school, she works part time at Pizza Hut.

Kennedy Smith drove in four runs on two hits to lead Huntsville’s Lady Eagles softball team past Elkins 9-3 on Tuesday, April 9. Smith hit a home run to center field in the fifth scoring three, walked in the third scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one.

The Gentry varsity soccer team tied a home conference game against Huntsville on Tuesday, April 9, by a score of 2-2.

Both teams were strong on the mound on Tuesday, April 9, but the Shiloh Christian Saints were just a little stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over Huntsville.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team honored teachers in a Teacher Appreciation special ceremony held on March 29 prior to the Berryville game. Each baseball player chose a favorite teacher to be introduced on the mound. The teacher wore the corresponding player’s jersey number.

On Friday, April 5, Huntsville baseball hosted a Strike Out Cancer event with all of the money raised donated to fight juvenile cancer.

Paxton Harriman drove in four runs on four hits to lead the Huntsville Eagles past the Pea Ridge Blackhawks 11-3 on Tuesday, April 2.

Huntsville Eagles softball pitcher Kennedy Smith pitched her 200th strikeout on March 26 against the Gravette Lions, an achievement Smith said is the highlight of her season thus far — until she throws her 300th strikeout, which she is on her way toward doing.

The Huntsville Eagles baseball team saluted teachers during Teacher Appreciation Day on Friday, March 29 in a special ceremony prior to the Berryville game.
