In a last-minute attempt to push through a bill that regulates and possibly lifts existing moratoriums for large concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO) in Arkansas watersheds — including one on the Buffalo National River — Sen. Blake Johnson (R-Corning) amended a bill he had previously introduced and placed it again on the Senate Committee on Agriculture Forestry and Economic Development Committee’s agenda.
