Ronnie Willhite, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at his home. 

Herb Worley, 71, began his new job as supervisor of the Madison County Road and Bridge Department a few weeks ago, where he will oversee 31 other county employees. The Huntsville native said his ability to “deal with people and trying to fix what’s wrong” are his best attributes for the job.

On Jan. 17 Kingston hosted Deer. The final score of the Jr. Boys game was Kingston 52, Deer 30.

Huntsville hosted the 4A-1 leading Farmington Cardinals on Jan. 17, losing a lopsided game 67 to 25.

The Farmington Cardinals came to Huntsville and took a hard-fought 61-51 victory back with them to Washington County. The two teams entered the game 6-0 in the 4A-1 Conference.

The St. Paul Saints and Lady Saints traveled to Miami, Okla., to play in the 76th Annual NEO High School Basketball Tournament January 19-21 at the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.

Huntsville Junior Eagles and Junior Lady Eagles both finished second in last week’s Charles H. Berry and Jim Stafford Invitational Junior High Basketball Tournament.
