Plans for Madison County and the City of Huntsville to begin using solar power remain in place, despite new legislation that would lower the wholesale rate that solar users get when selling power back to power providers.

The Madison County Water Facilities Board has been asked to proceed with getting a water line off of the Highway 23 bridge near Withrow Springs State Park, according to Manager Rodney Reynolds.

The Huntsville City Council last week approved the 2023 budget, a detailed breakdown of what the city expects to see in both revenues and expenses for this year.
