Wanda Jean Holloway, 86, of Huntsville; passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at CoxHealth Medical Center South, Springfield. 

She was born Monday, May 13, 1935, in Japton, to Theodore and Esther Fannie Reeves Woodward.

Jean married Dalton Lee Holloway on Friday, Dec. 20, 1957, and together they were parents to three children. 

She worked for many years in the cafeteria for Huntsville Public Schools and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Jean loved jigsaw puzzles and working word searches. She enjoyed being outside, mowing her lawn, and gardening, and loved spending time with her family at home.

Jean was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Theodore and Velma Woodward; her mother and stepfather, Esther and Jessie Mitchell; and her husband, Dalton. 

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Angela Holloway of Huntsville; two daughters, Delissa and Shane Pharris of Sparta, Mo., and Marcella and Franky Parson of Washburn, Mo.; six grandchildren, Emmilyne Qualls, Natasha Mandrell, Damon Parson, Sheri Pruitt, Clayton Holloway and Clint Holloway; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held, Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Shane Pharris and Franky Parson officiated. 

Pallbearers were Clint Holloway, Seth Pruitt, Cody Qualls, Travis Mandrell, Jerry Holloway and Kelly Holloway. 

Honorary pallbearers were Floyd Holloway, Doyle Holloway, Kenneth Holloway, Clayton Holloway and Damon Parson. 

Interment immediately followed services at Aurora Cemetery. 

Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
