Virginia M. Baker, 70, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, in Copperas Cove, Texas. 

She was born Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1952, in Mountain Home, to John Paul and Emogene Edith Butzke Tilton.

Virginia was mother to seven children. She was a homemaker and known for her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed sewing and living on a farm surrounded by her animals. She was devoted to her family and loved them dearly.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, James Alvin Baker; her parents, John and Edith Tilton; two brothers, Jim Tilton and Michael Steele; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

She is survived by her four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Janette Alexander, of Copperas Cove, Texas, William and Shelly Alexander of Huntsville, Zachary Alexander of Copperas Cove and William Nathaniel Alexander of Copperas Cove; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and Terry Fuller of Huntsville, Avis Alexander of Huntsville and Christina and Joey Bates of Green Forest; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at Marshall Cemetery. Justin Harris officiated. 

Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
