Virginia Lee Kettner, 73, of Springdale, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, in Springdale. 

She was born Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1948, in Springdale, to Eulis Oren and Ethel Christine Bilderback Smith.

Virginia married Jimmy Kettner on Tuesday, April 20, 1965, in Huntsville, and together they were parents to two daughters. Virginia was a poultry farmer and a member of the Forum Assembly of God. In addition to gardening and canning produce, she enjoyed working on the farm and was known to be an excellent cook. Virginia loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Michelle Ashby; two brothers, Cecil Smith and Vernon Smith; and one sister, Anna McGinnis. 

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Kettner; one daughter, Debra Trusty; four grandchildren, Race Fuller, Cordell Ashby, Bailey Boyett and Galin Ashby; four great-grandchildren, Benton Boyett, Dawson Ashby, Sadie Ashby and Kaiden Boyett; and eight siblings, Earl Smith, Gary Smith, Wanda Walker, Gerald Smith, Bobby Smith, Brenda Smith, Carral Smith and Lisa Phipps.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, at Marshall Cemetery in Forum with Jack Graham officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Cordell Ashby, Galin Ashby, Race Fuller, Mark Trusty, Donnie Kettner and Howard Accuff.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dawson Ashby. 

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
