Reola “Fern” Garrett, 91, of Midwest City, Okla., passed away on May 7, 2020.  
She was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Okmulgee, Okla., to the late Ruel and Maude (McDowell) Rutherford.
 She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was retired from Sears and was a member of the Nicoma Park United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James “Ralph” Garrett; one daughter, Kathy Golightly; four brothers and two sisters.
Fern is survived by five children, Glenn Garrett and wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City, Peggy Garrett of Choctaw, Okla., Dan Garrett of Choctaw, Okla., Lesa Vasquez and husband, Tom, of Oklahoma City, and Terri Simmons and husband, Terry, of Crosses, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, Richard, Holly, James, Jennifer, Nolan, Kim, Krista, Andy, Bryan, Joey, Chris, Thomas, Matt, AnnaJo Fern, Nate and Brooke; and a whole host of great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 11, at Harmony Cemetery.
