Perry William Johnson of Springdale, Arkansas, was born May 8, 1932, in Eureka Springs to Homer and Ethel (Rice) Johnson. 

Perry passed away Feb. 2, 2022, in Bentonville at the age of 89.

He enjoyed farming, hunting, and being with his family. Perry also took the time to read western novels and watch westerns on TV. Every fall he would crack many pounds of walnuts and pecans to give to people.

On March 22, 1952, Perry was united in marriage to Loretta (Worley) Johnson, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his children, Rex Johnson and wife, Nancy, LeVerl Johnson and wife, Rhonda, Homer Johnson, Rebecca Hamilton and husband, Marty; grandchildren Steven Walker, Chad Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Carissa Strecker, Lacy Johnson, Misty Forgey, Melissa Bradley, Ryan Bradley; 16 great-grandchildren; along with several other family members and friends.

Perry was preceded by his parents, Homer and Ethel Johnson; grandson, Dalton Johnson; granddaughter, Nanette Lee.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at the Eureka Springs Cemetery. Pastor Billy McCall officiated.
