Pauline Sloan, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville.  
She was born Sunday, June 10, 1934, in Rocky Grove to Lewis Jackson and Anna Elizabeth Eaton Samuels.
Pauline married Bobby Joe Sloan on Sept. 8, 1951, in Wesley and together they were parents to five children.  She retired from Levi Strauss, where she served as a vice president of the teamsters union. She was also actively involved with the Madison County Senior Activity Center, where she enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics and traveling across the U.S. with her activity center friends. She was also a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Sloan; one son, Loy Dean Sloan; and one great-grandson, Braden Rae Hunt.  
She is survived by her children, Jo Lynn and Gene Boatright of Wesley, Wanda and Lonnie Bailey of Rogers, Carl and Sheila Sloan of Goshen, Randy and Rhonda Couch of Cabot; her grandchildren, Dee Ann and Dusty Hunt of Kincaid, Kan., Robert and Leslie Boatright of Wesley, Gina Kirk of Fayetteville, Dakota Sloan of Fayetteville, Jackson Sloan of Lakeland, Fla., Randy Couch of Cabot, Tony Bailey of Springdale; her great-grandchildren, Tia Ann Miller, Austin Boatright, Chase Boatright, Allie Patrick and Hallie Kirk; and her great-great-granddaughter, Navia Rae Miller.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home, Jasper Hankins officiated.  
Pallbearers were grandsons Robert Boatright, Dusty Hunt, Dakota Sloan, Jackson Sloan, Austin Boatright, Chase Boatright, Noah Miller and Tony Bailey.
Interment immediately followed services at Old Bethel Cemetery, Red Star.  
Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
