Mary Marlene Simmons, 65, of Huntsville, died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at home.
She was born Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1955, in Los Angeles, to James Robert and Lola DeMoss Brady.
Mary married Richard Lee Simmons Jr. and together they were parents to two children. Mary dearly her loved her family.  She was a Sales Associate for Walmart and enjoyed shopping with her grandchildren, gardening, traveling, and reading the Bible.
Mary was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Kerry Simmons III of Melbourne, Fla., and Samuel Simmons of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Hope, Elise, Wesley, Amanda, Nelson and Justin; many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her mother, Lola DeMoss of White City, Ore.; and her siblings, Monica Hard of Hemet, Calif., James and Dianne Brady of Hemet, Calif., Michael and Pam Brady of Apple Valley, Calif., Rebecca and Jerry Hanson of White City, Ore., Mark and Mary Lynn Rothenburg of Palmdale, Calif., and DeAlana Bruce of Hollywood, Calif.
The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Larry Mitchell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Simmons, Brian Simmons, Mike Brady, Mark Rothenberg, Thomas Lingren and Jason Salter.
Interment will immediately follow services at Aurora Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
