Lois Clydeen Sloan, 90, of Wesley, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital NWA, Rogers. 

She was born Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1932, in California, to Clyde and Muriel Finley Watson. 

Clydeen married James Lester Sloan on Thursday, July 12, 1951, and together they were parents to two children. 

Formerly employed by Springdale Memorial Hospital, she was a licensed practical nurse. Her hobbies included baseball and travel after her retirement. She also loved Jesus, caring for her flowers and garden, cooking, baking, and tending to her cattle.

Clydeen was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lester; her father and stepmother, Clyde and Ella Traver Watson, her mother, Muriel Watson; one daughter, Linda Bass; and her sister, Joyce Watson Calico. 

She is survived by her son, Russell Sloan of Wesley; her grandchildren, Michael and Brooklyn Sloan of Wesley, Mitchell Sloan of Bentonville, Matt and Barbara James of Fayetteville, and Laura and Mark Berry of Fairhope, Ala.; and four great-grandsons, Kane and Seamus Berry of Fairhope and Dallas and Dosson Sloan of Wesley.

The family received friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022, at First Assembly of God, Huntsville, with Alex Foster officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Russell Sloan, Mitchell Sloan, Cord Riley, Gene Gardner, Michael Sloan and Matt James. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Sloan, Leonard Sloan, Art Calico and Michael Lewis Sloan. 

Interment will immediately follow services at Farmer Cemetery, Hindsville. 

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
