Jeanne Dale Casteel, 73, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice,  Bentonville.  
She was born Tuesday, July 20, 1948, in Jonesboro, La., to Guy Durwood and Mary Evelyn Raymond Womack.
Jeanne was mother to two children, and an administrative assistant for the Farmers Home Administration. She enjoyed fishing and was well known for frying up delicious fish dinners. Jeanne spent many hours on the farm tending to her dogs “Bud,” “Jake” and “Digger,” and attended the Kingston Stomp regularly where she enjoyed dancing. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; and one great-grandson, Stetson Ryder Self.  
She is survived by her son, Donnie Casteel of Malvern; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Charlie Crowder of Huntsville; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jamie Womack of Fayetteville; her sister, Judy Wood of Hobbs, N.M.; grandchildren, Brett Self, Cassidy Casteel, Trent Crowder, and Tyler Crowder; and nine great-grandchildren.
 In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601; or American Cancer Society, PO Box 16328, Little Rock, AR 72231.  
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
