James “Tip” Harris, 68, of Van Buren, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Heart of Hospice, Baptist Hospital, Fort Smith.
He was born Thursday, April 3, 1952, in Huntsville to James and Gladys Harris.
James was father to four children. He was a concrete finisher and loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing.
James was preceded in death by his father, Jim Harris; one son, Keith Harris; and granddaughter Larissa.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys Harris of Huntsville; three daughters, Jennifer and Rodger Emberton of Cedarville, Cortney and Tommy Langley of Van Buren, their mother, Teresa Harris of Van Buren, and Samantha Walsh of Huntsville; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Elsey and Chuck Harris, both of Huntsville; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and Larry Fliss of Conway and Lana and Jim Couch of Huntsville.
The family will receive friends 9 a.m. 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, please practice social distancing and masks are required.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., with Brad Moore officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Phillips, Dale Elsey, Chuck Harris, Fred Skaggs, Tommy Langley, Rodger Emberton and Shannon Willcutt.
Interment will immediately follow services at Huntsville Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
