James Paul Whiteley, 70, of Huntsville, died June 28, 2020, in Huntsville. 

He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in San Bernardino, Calif., to LH and Vera Anderson Whiteley.

James married Georgia Lee Easley on Feb. 14, 1969, in Dean,  and together they were parents to two children. 

He was a production line worker for Butterball for 32 years. He served his country in Vietnam as a member of the Flying Dragons 52nd Infantry. 

James loved woodworking, arrowhead hunting, fossil collecting, shooting his potato gun and target practicing.

James was predeceased by his mother, and one nephew, Ronnie Smith. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Georgia Whiteley of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Michelle Whiteley and Whitney and Kelly Leboeuf; two grandchildren and one granddaughter-in-law, Jacob and Bailey McComas and Jessica McComas; his father, LH Whiteley; two brothers, John Whiteley and Eugene Whiteley; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Earl Smith; one son-in-law, Chuck McComas; his dog, Coco; and many neices and nephews.

The family will host a celebration of life at 7 p.m. on July 4, at 1363 County Road 720, Huntsville. 

Private interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery. 

Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
