Ervin Ray Kimball, 71, of Saint Paul, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at his home.
 He was born July 23, 1948, in Saint Paul, to Bert and Mary Kimball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Mary Mayes Kimball; three brothers, T.J. Kimball, James Kimball and Robert Kimball; and one sister, Dorothy Robbins.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pam Morgan Kimball of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Audra Kimball of Pettigrew; one daughter, Amanda Williams and Joe Harris of Saint Paul; one sister, Rose Dyer of Elkins; and one brother, Gene Kimball of Combs.
Ervin adored his grandchildren, he loved spending time with them and he provided them with many handcrafted toys and keepsakes.
He is survived by his precious grandchildren, Emma Williams of Saint Paul, Cooper Harris of Saint Paul, Dawson Kimball of Pettigrew and Lawson Kimball of Pettigrew.
Ervin was loved by so many. He had a host of brother and sister in-laws that adored him and was a favorite uncle to many, many nieces and nephews.
Ervin earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam and served in the United States Army as a Rifleman in Company A, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles Division.  
Ervin was known for being a hard worker. He worked for Madison County Road Department for 31 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was known for his craftsmanship skills, outgoing personality, love for fishing and camping, and love for his grandkids.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Morgan, Shawn Smith, Brandon Morgan, Mike Morgan, Sheldon Lackey, Shad Haught, Joe Harris and Travis Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Ritchie, Don Morgan, Darrell Lackey, Phillip Morgan and Dan Morgan.
Graveside services will be at the Morgan Cemetery, with Sam Judd officiating.  
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
