Ella Mae Laird, 76, of Huntsville, was called home by our heavenly Father, Thursday, March 19, 2020, after a fight with cancer.

She passed away peacefully surrounded by the tremendous love of her family.

She was born Friday, July 30, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo.to Robert and Hazel Isaacs Wright.

Ella retired from Mead-West Vaco in Kenosha, Wis. She then moved to Arkansas to begin another chapter of her life near her son, Ron Jr., and sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Richard. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mother who loved her two sons unconditionally. They were truly the light of her life.

Ella loved animals and enjoyed spending her time with her two cats, Hannah  and Chelsy, as well as with her family and friends. She loved reading books, playing cards and dominos, going to flea markets and having dinners with family and friends.

Ella was a wonderful Christian who loved our Lord. She never met a stranger and was always happy to help others in whatever way she could. There are no words to adequately describe what a truly wonderful loving, honest, witty and remarkable person Ella was.

Ella was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, William Wright and John Wright; one sister, Gladys Lucas; and her beloved cats, Hannah and Chelsy.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Brenda Laird Jr., of Huntsville and Mark and Mary Laird of Wyoming, Mich.; four grandchildren;  one great-grandniece, Lacey Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews and extensive family and friends.

Rest in peace sweet Ella, you will be missed by so many.
