Dianne McLoud, 65, of Huntsville, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at home.

She was born Friday, Sept. 14, 1956, in War Eagle, Ark., to Earl Baron McKnight Jr. and Edna Belle Martinez McKnight.

Dianne married Rick Overton McLoud on June 8, 1974, in Alabam, Ark. She was 17 years old and had just graduated high school. She knew Rick was the love of her life from a very young age. Together, they were the parents to Chonda DeNete McLoud Morin and Derek Overton McLoud. She was the proudest Mom, Mimi and Great-Mimi ever. If anyone stopped for a moment, she was going to be sure to tell you about one of her grandchildren or her children.

She was a florist for several years and she loved it. She was later secretary for Brian Hunt of J.B. Hunt Trucking. Dianne was a person with a huge heart who would give you the shirt off her back. She was the best mom to her kids as they were growing up. There were always kids at her house, and each and every one of them felt right at home there and knew she loved them. She loved to buy gifts for others and see the joy on their faces as she gave the gift to them. Dianne loved to fish and the time she spent in Louisiana with her family fishing at Toledo Bend were some of her favorite times. She spent many hours on horseback, and loved team penning and all the time spent with good friends as they enjoyed this sport. And if it had sequins, pearls, or rhinestones, Dianne was sure to love it.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edna McKnight; and one sister, Billie Jean Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, Rick McLoud of the home, one daughter and son-in-law, Chonda and Pete Morin of Huntsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Athena McLoud of Lufkin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Austin Boatright, Will McLoud, Chase Boatright, Ayden McLoud, Berkley McLoud, Blane Morin and Addison Morin; one great-granddaughter, Aster McLoud; two nephews, Cody McLoud of Washington and Mackenzie Phillips of Huntsville; one niece, Cacee McLoud Smith of West Fork; and one brother, Chris McKnight of Huntsville.
