Debora “Debbie” Kay Sisco, of Witter,  passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2020, at the age of 66, at Washington Regional Rehabilitation Center. 

She was born in Hempstead, Texas, on March 30, 1954, to John and Dorsie Brown.  

She was the oldest of seven children. Debbie married Richard “Rick” Sisco Jr. on Dec. 23, 1980, in Tahlequah, Okla., together they were parents to five daughters. 

She loved canning, gardening, traveling and taking care of her family and her dogs. She was a great cook and well known for her delicious fried chicken. 

Debbie was a member of the Aurora Pentecostal Church. She was a devout Christian, who loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. She loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, and spending time with her family. Debbie will be remembered as a selfless wife, mother, and grandmother, who always had a smile, even when times were tough. She never complained and always looked for the good. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed helping others.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her mom, Dorsie Brown of Tahlequah, Okla.; her husband, Rick Sisco of Witter; her children, Chandra Keener of Elkins, Cheryl and Ralph Gideon of Cypress, Texas, Katy Jo and Jarod Huffmeister of Cypress, Texas, Bobbi Jo and BJ Stroud of Prosper, Texas, and Billi Jo and Shane Nowka of Sandy, Ore.; her grandchildren, Seth, Storm, JJ, Caitlyn, Cody, Hana, Leiam, Brice, Luke, Brinkley, Slayter; her great-grandson Brayson; her siblings, Brenda, Dicky, Johnny Ray, Marvin, Chris and Dianna; as well as a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Brown and her grandson, Skyler Sassie.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on  Thursday, July 23, at Brashears Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24, at Brashears Funeral Home, with Brother David Harrison officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Seth Sassie, JJ Goss, Ralph Gideon, Jarod Huffmeister, BJ Stroud, and Shane Nowka.  

Interment will immediately follow services at Venus Cemetery.
