David Frank Laird, 56, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at home. 

He was born Sunday, Oct. 17, 1965, at Wichita, Kan., to Olen Cecil and Helen Mildred Easter Laird.

David married Brenda Jane Boucher on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Hindsville, and he was stepfather to one daughter. Brenda and David were a match made in heaven, and he dearly loved his family, which included his stepdaughter, Alexandria; his son-in-law, Nick; Cooper, his grandson; and his sister, nieces, and nephews. David was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a materials manager in the medical industry. He also enjoyed being outdoors and his favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He was an incredibly kind man, never met a stranger, and he cared for everyone else above himself.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy Lee Laird; and his sister, Sherron Kay Laird. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Laird, of the home; his stepdaughter and son-in-law, Alexandria and Nick Cawthon; his grandson, Cooper Cawthon, all of Cave Springs; his mother-in-law, Jean Boucher, of Centerton; his sister, Ann Laird of Hindsville; his niece, Jennifer Vann, and husband, Jimmy, of Bunch, Okla.; his great-nephews, Dustin Stephenson and Aaron Stephenson; his great-nieces, Maggie Stephenson, Miah Stephenson, Adalina Stephenson; his niece, Michelle Smallman of Huntsville; his great-nephew, Thomas Smallman; his nephew, Michael Keck and wife, Jannie, of Huntsville; and his great-niece, Hazen Keck.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. 

Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
