Bobby Joe Middleton, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. 

He was born Sunday, Feb. 15, 1942, at Purdy, to Vernon William and Bessie Bell Smith Middleton.

Bobby married Lorena Carter on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1961, in Springdale, Ark., and together they were parents to four children. 

He retired from Tyson Foods after serving 37 years in their maintenance department, and attended Harmony Baptist Church. Bobby was a wonderful husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working on the farm, especially during hay season. He also enjoyed building homes for his children and grandchildren, and listening to the singing at his church. Thursday night fellowship with his children and grandchildren were some of his favorite moments shared with his family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Bessie. 

He is survived by his wife, Lorena Middleton of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Tris Middleton of Springdale, Lance and Kami Middleton of Huntsville, and Rodney and Tara Middleton of Huntsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Linette and John Faulkner of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Kenneth Middleton of Springdale and Ray and Rocky Middleton of Huntsville; and one sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Charles Carter of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Lonnie Siler officiated. 

Pallbearers were Justin Middleton, Devin Middleton, Cory Faulkner, Tom Day, Tyler Boyd and Chad Hicks. 

Interment immediately followed services at Bohannan Mountain Cemetery. 

Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
