Billy Lou Robeson, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at home. 

He was born Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1943, in Childress, Texas, to Jude and Clarice Lester Hawkins.

Billy married Zelda Faye Obenshain on Saturday, June 5, 1971, in the California community, and they had two children together. He was a truck driver who enjoyed fishing, hunting and completing puzzles. Billy also enjoyed reminiscing and discussing the trucking industry with fellow drivers. A devoted family man, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Stephanie Plunkett. 

He is survived by his wife, Faye Robeson of the home; one son, Billy Robeson and Juanita Morris of Huntsville; one daughter, Sandra Robeson of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Cassie and Kevin Rivers of Springdale, Johnathan Kelley of Springdale, Hayden Kelley of Springdale, Brandon and Kylea Plunkett of Oklahoma City, Okla., Christopher Adams of Huntsville and Amber Morris, of Asbury, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Colt Rivers and Channing Kelley; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Waeltz of Rogers and Bonnie and Bill Hornbecker of Rogers; and one brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Carol Hawkins of Centerton.

Funeral services were held  Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. Allen Williams officiated. 

Pallbearers were Mike Hopper, Lynn Hopper, Rick Shepherd, Donnie Maze, Bobby Waeltz and Kevin Rivers. 

Honorary pallbearers were Josh Obenshain, Rodney Obenshain, Chris Obenshain, Donald Shepherd, James Obenshain, Johnny Waeltz and Michael Groves. 

Interment followed services at Clifty Cemetery. 

Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
