Barbara Ann Rogers, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Brighton Ridge Therapy and Living Center, Eureka Springs. 

She was born Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1938, in Clifty, to RV “Bud” and Lina Ellen Taylor Pitts.

Barbara married Lee Rogers on Thursday, Jan. 12, 1956, at Miami, Okla., and together they were parents to three children. She was a member of Valley Lighthouse Church. In addition to sewing and making quilts, Barbara loved to cook for her family. Her other passion was farming, and she loved raking hay.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, RV “Bud” and Lina Pitts; one son, Robert “Bobby” Rogers; four brothers, Albert, Rudolph, Wayne, and Billy Joe Pitts; and two sisters, Margaret June McCullah and Berta Lea Green. 

She is survived by her husband, Lee Rogers of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Virginia “Jenny” and Danny Oliver; and one son, Ray Rogers, all of Clifty; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert “Pete” and Joy Pitts, and Jim and Marlene Pitts, all of Clifty; and two sisters, Ruby Sutton, of Clifty and Linda Kay Cain, of Arizona; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 22, at Brashears Funeral Home with James Howell officiating. 

Pallbearers will be David Oliver, Dillon Mizer, Jason Villines, Van Jones, Jimmie Dean Pitts, Jeremy Miller and Elmer Lee Robertson. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Hess and Mitch Hammons. Interment will immediately follow services at Clifty Cemetery. 

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
